Summer time

This has been a very interesting Summer, so far.  First, Darla and I ended our 2.5 year relationship.  This occured very spontaniously and rather unexpectedly.  We had gone to the Americana Festival (a multi-cultural event here in L’ville) then we walked up Bardstown Rd and hung out in Ear X-tacy for an hour or so. Then we went back to my house and sat on the pourch and talked about how we had nothing in common…. other than mission work.

It has been a struggle as I feel more than a little lost being single again. Someone asked me what I was going to do after I finish my Masters and I opened my mouth and nothing came out…. For 2.5 yrs I’d been making plans with her in mind. So that is where I’ve been. I know rationally that we did the right thing but emotionally it is still hard.

On a happy note. I will be in the Land of O.S. (Oliver Springs, TN) this weekend for a reunion of high school band & CAAD people. I am SO looking forward to that! It is also my Mama’s Birthday so that will be a fun time too.

Starting this Tuesday (22 July), I’m getting back to working out and eating right. I’ve laid around all summer and used working OT as an excuse to do anything… including working on this page. And that’s another thing - I’ll be getting my act together here too.
